DAAPD 0.2.4a and iTunes 5.0

I can confirm that iTunes 5.0 on Windows fails to work with DAAPD 0.2.4a. It was okay till iTunes 4.9. iTunes 5.0 on Mac too fails. It was okay till iTunes 4.8. - Sept 8, 2005; a2z

Poblems with iTunes 4.9 on Mac

Using DAAPD 0.2.4a / Mac OS 10.4.2 / Sep 2, 2005 I could connect to the DAAPD server with iTunes 4.8 from a different subnet using Rendezvous Proxy on Windows 2000 or Network Beacon on Mac OS 10.3 or 10.4. After upgrading iTunes to version 4.9, I can still connect and play songs from the Windows PC, but I can no longer do so from Mac (OS 10.3 or 10.4) using Rendezvous Proxy or Network Beacon. Can someone confirm if DAAPD fails to work with iTunes 4.9 for Mac?

I can confirm that DAAPD does not work with iTunes 4.9 or iTunes 5.0.1 on Mac OS X. (DAAPD 0.2.3 / Mac OS 10.4.2 / 29-Sept-2005)

Password handling

If a wrong password is entered when connecting to DAAPD, you will not get any response from iTunes ('wrong password - try again'). Instead iTunes will say 'loading (server name)' - of course, nothing will load. (DAAPD 0.2.3 / Mac OS 10.3.7 / iTunes 4.7 / Jan 26, 2005)
